OSHO is de grondlegger van de actieve meditaties. Hij heeft veel verteld over mediteren en de moderne mens, die meer nodig heeft om naar binnen te keren en te verstillen.
Vrij vertaald zijn de drie essenties van mediteren: ontspannen, getuige zijn (watching) en geen oordeel hebben. Om daar te kunnen komen heeft hij de actieve meditaties ontwikkeld met ruimte om eerst spanning los te laten. Deze meditaties helpen om te ontspannen, om te ‘watchen’ en om vrij te komen van oordeel.
Op internet is veel informatie beschikbaar over zijn lezingen en lessen en er is een schat aan opnames te vinden. De moeite waard om te onderzoeken.
